Since assuming my position in April 2016, it has been my honor to serve as voice the 1st Ward. It is my endeavor to be the voice representing the best interest of my constituents. I vote in the best interest of bettering our city and I seek opportunities to improve not only our neighborhood but our residents overall wellbeing.
I have been a Country Club Hills resident since 2002 and I am very involved in the community. I am single mother of teenage daughter in the Jennings School District, I sit on the Parent Advisory Committee Board (PAC) for the district and I have lead the PTSO at Woodland, Hanrahan and Jennings Junior High School.
I am employed at Washington University School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition. I obtained my master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. I also hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in Liberal Studies with areas of emphasis in Communication, Psychology, Sociology and Social Work. I have completed several professional certifications and sit on other professional boards and committees.
While my degrees provide me with a strong background in business, communication and administration, my professional positions have given me the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities to help improve outcomes through practical experience.
I truly believe our city government works best when it’s transparent and responsive. That’s why, as your elected Alderwoman, I want to focus on including my constituents in the local decisions that impact the 1st Ward. Therefore, you are invited to attend our monthly board meetings at 6:30 pm every second Wednesday of the month.
